Challenge
The challenge was to create a meaningful, memorable and practical logo, tag line and corporate identity for the Township and its recently adopted name of 'Cavan Monaghan'.
We needed to work with multiple stakeholders including Council, committees of council, the media, ratepayers, special interest groups and the general public. We applied our best listening skills to ensure we heard from everyone involved as to what elements of their community were important to capture in the new identity.
A series of public meetings and online surveys helped to engage the community.
Results
The new logo and tag line “Have it all. Right here.” were warmly embraced by the community and neighbouring townships. The logo reflects the importance of the scenic hills and valleys and agricultural focus of the area. Irish roots are incorporated in the slightly Gaelic font on the words “Cavan Monaghan”. The tag line speaks to the variety of services and attractions available to residents and visitors. It is a unique, small town place where you can access a host of bigger city amenities and perks (from a world class, open-air theatre to organic farm markets) while remaining a commutable distance to the Big City.
